Who am I?
My name is Elizabeth Miltimore. I am first and foremost a child of God. He has blessed me with a wonderful husband, Doug, and 3 beautiful daughters, Cayli-15, Natalie (Naty)-8, and Ella-6, and one on the way! My family is my most prized treasure. I am a lover of books-mostly the physical kind. Although I am not too good to open my Kindle and read it, I adore a good old-fashioned physical copy. I am an amateur photographer. I love to take pictures but unfortunately, I am bad at getting them printed. They usually stay on my computer until it starts running so slow that I have to delete some. I am a homeschool mom and dance mom.
What is my story?
God has led me down one amazing journey. I grew up in a Christian home, had a wonderful foundation but like most kids, I started to venture down my own path instead of God’s. I became a teen mom at the young age of 16. I prayed and prayed for a red-headed daughter (natural red-head here) and guess what, God heard my prayers.
Seven years later God brought the most amazing man into my life and I haven’t looked back. We welcomed Natalie into our world shortly after and then Ella two years later. Natalie and Ella were both born severe to profoundly deaf and have bilateral cochlear implants. They both attended the Atlanta Speech School, Natalie for 6 years and Ella for 5 years. This was a 67 mile trek door to door and now that I’m not doing it, I look back and wonder how I did it for so long.
Our family has all made sacrifices in order to provide our children with the best education possible. Our dream was to hear them say “I love you.” Now- they won’t stop talking! God has blessed us beyond measure and I wouldn’t change a thing.
God instilled in me the want and need to homeschool my girls.
We are excited to see where God leads us.
This is me, and this is our journey.
