I’m trying out new names for our weekly updates. Feel free to tell me what you think! Any suggestions??
This week, we had Meredith Monday through Wednesday. We were all excited about her coming which is why everyone, except Cayli, decided to get up at the butt crack of dawn. I was hoping to get in at least an hour of me and Meredith time but that didn’t happen.
7:00-Ella wakes up
7:30-Naty wakes up
9:00-I (Meredith) woke Cayli up. I just stuck Meredith in her room and ran.
Monday’s are usually one of our calmer days but not this Monday. Cayli had a dermatologist appointment so I decided to leave Naty and Ella with my mom so we wouldn’t have to wrangle everyone at the office. When it came time to go, Meredith didn’t want to.
What changed her mind?
Cayli bribed her with ice cream.
What a day. Meredith arrived around 7:30. We quickly got everyone up, ready, fed and arrived promptly at 10:30 for therapy. While Ella was in OT, we spent an hour at the library picking out new books. I have to admit I was a little worried about how we were going to handle having a toddler but she did fantastic!
After we picked Ella up we headed to the park for our weekly picnic. The pavilion was empty so we were able to snag a picnic table but it turned out to be such a bad idea. As soon as we opened the cooler, we were assaulted by an army of flies. Who knew flies had such a good sense of smell?
I was not about to back down though. As I drank my smoothie with one hand, I hovered over the others with my helicopter arm.
After the quickest picnic in history, we headed toward the playground where the girls played to their heart’s content.
When we arrived home we all retreated to a resting spot and fell asleep. Poor Ella was so tired she fell off the couch and finished her nap in the floor.
We wrapped up Tuesday with late night homeschool 🙂
Easy Peasy is mostly done online, therefore Naty and Ella have to take turns doing their schoolwork. I have been giving one child a project or task to do while the other is on the laptop but today, they both wanted to do the program at the same time.
Ok! Since Cayli was not using her laptop at that moment, I thought it would be a great idea to stick Naty on mine and put Ella on Cayli’s! I wanted to make sure they both stayed in that moment! The moment to happily do school.
Not one of my finest ideas. Even though I’m trying to transition Naty into being an independent learner, she still feels the need to want me right by her side. And let’s face it, I HAVE to be by Ella’s side.
Going back and forth between the two, I probably got in a good 1000 steps on my Fitbit!
A day of rest. That’s how I would describe Thursday. The beginning of the week proved to be very busy so Thursday was the first day we were able to just sit back and saw, “Ahhhhhhhh.”
I don’t really remember what all we did on Thursday. Apparently we did homeschool (proof below) but I don’t remember what else.
I don’t even remember what we did yesterday! That’s why I’ve been having to document the week, daily! I’m too young for this 🙁
I know I start most days off with “What a day,” but…….What a day. I woke up later than I wanted so everything I had planned to do didn’t get done. Does anyone else go to bed promising yourself that you’ll get up early?
That was me……All week long.
Friday was filled with a Dr.’s appointment for Ella and tons of errands to do like making a grocery list and going to get groceries. Just the plan itself takes me forever!
I almost started off the day with a panic attack but I did what any other homeschool mom does. Down 3 cups of coffee and tackle it head on.
After Ella’s successful Dr.’s appointment with the new Dr. that specializes in ADHD, everything ran a lot smoother.
I finally stumbled through the door at 9 pm with a truckload full of groceries.
What did you accomplish this week??
